Contributing to the energy transition with sustainable, reliable and affordable alternatives.
We enable everyone, households, businesses, local authorities and power producers alike, to reduce their carbon footprint and take charge of their own energy independence.
Long-standing specialists in pumping and remote sites, today we mainly support businesses and industry in their move to solar. We also equip homes, and we build and commission large-scale power plants. A dedicated team carries out testing and commissioning, on our own sites as well as for other companies.

Our history
From Tenesol to Solene.
- 1983
Roots in the Sahel
The group that would become Tenesol was founded to bring water to the Sahel: solar pumping and power for remote sites were its first businesses.
- 1997
Tenesol Afrique de l’Ouest in Dakar
A subsidiary of the Total and EDF groups, it equipped telecom towers, health centres, boreholes and villages across the region.
- 2012
SunPower West Africa
SunPower acquired Tenesol. The Dakar team carried on the business under the SunPower West Africa banner.

Solene Afrique de l’Ouest
Four companies, in Senegal, Guinea, Côte d'Ivoire and Mali, covering thirteen countries. Solar for businesses at the heart of the activity, and the construction of large-scale power plants.
